About Us
At AquaCoustic Remote Technologies Inc., we bring over 30 years of innovation and expertise in geomatics and infrastructure inspection services. From projects across Canada, the United States, and , Asia; we’ve built a reputation for delivering accurate, in-house data solutions that help asset owners protect critical infrastructure.
Founded by Michael Blackshaw, who has a background in commercial diving and underwater ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) intervention, turned industry innovator, AquaCoustic has evolved from field-based inspections to designing custom robotic platforms and software that capture and process SONAR, LiDAR and CCTV data. Michael’s leadership blends deep field knowledge with cutting-edge technology, shaping an approach that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and innovation.
