Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Support

Construction inspections affecting public roads require temporary traffic management to protect crews, the public, and meet regulations.

Traffic Management Support Approach

When required, traffic layouts and controls are prepared to:

  • Align with municipal and roadway authority standards
  •  Support inspection and survey activities, including active construction zones
  • Reflect location, duration, and roadway interaction
  • Integrate with AQC’s inspection and survey scope

TMPs enable safe field access while minimizing disruption to traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists.

When TMPs May Be Required

TMPs may be required when inspection or survey activities:

  • Occur within or adjacent to active roadways
  • Require temporary use of lanes or shoulders
  • Affect pedestrian or cyclist access
  • Are requested by a municipality, roadway authority, asset owner, or contractor
  • Form part of a permitted inspection or assessment program

Requirements vary by jurisdiction and project conditions.

Scope Limitations and Coordination

  • TMPs are provided in support of inspection and survey work
  • Engineering-stamped traffic plans are not provided
  • Where required, coordination with the client’s engineer or traffic professional can be supported
  • Traffic management requirements are confirmed during project scoping

Canada-Wide Support

Traffic Management Plan support is provided across Canada, subject to local roadway authority requirements.
