Some concern was express about debris buildup around an intake trash rack. Using the sonar profiler a series of profiles was taken along the face of an intake structure. The profiles clearly show the trash racks with 16’ of debris build up at the bottom and possible debris on the face. Total debris volumes were calculated.

The elevation of the sonar head was known and confirmed using the known elevation at the top of the trash rack.
