The sensor is a three-axis, tilt-compensated compass that uses a three-axis accelerometer for enhanced performance. Tilt range (Pitch and Roll) is ±80°. The unit compensates for Hard Iron Distortions, Ferrous Objects, and Stray Fields. The data is transmitted at 30Hz.
Using the positioning data, water elevation and pitch, roll and heading information, X, Y and Z data is produced and a 3D image can be built up of the bottom conditions.
