After a pier collapse an accurate bottom survey was needed to help pin point the cause of the failure. Using The AQC Precision Sonar System, detailed X, Y and Z information could be gathered and exported into a CAD program. Our system was chosen due to the good range resolution and its ability to profile under the pile docks. Initially, side-scan images were recorded of the area and used to plan the survey.
