The AQC Precision Sonar System's zoom video camera can be pole mounted and lowered into the water. Advantages compared to using ROVs include having a known position and heading for the camera and there are also no thrusters used, which can stir up the bottom. This camera has been successfully used in inspecting the bottoms of floats, debris identification and visualization of scour area.
